Sydney made his way down to the commons early wearing his favorite "Walker Industries" tee, Taylor 2 steps behind him in a matching one with her arms full of game systems, plastic guitars, and controllers.
"Why am I the one carrying all this again?" She asked, knowing the answer already.
"I gotta stay in the zone, I don't want to risk throwing it off. I'm one with the controller, one with the guitar." He said carrying his own controller down with him.
"Just how many energy drinks have you had in the past 24 hours?" Taylor asked, seeing some of the tell tale signs, that small twitch in the corner of his eye, his hands possibly shaking a little.
"Enough to become one with the guitar. Not enough to make my heart explode. Yet."
Taylor snickered "I'll get the defibulator just in case, and why exactly did you practice for the last 18 hours to beat someone who... doesn't play video games?"
"There is this 8 foot tall guy that bet on me, and I'd rather not be crushed if I happen to lose." Sydney only nodded as he started to plug in the game system along with all of the controls.
Taylor peered over his shoulder "If you need me for anything? Let me know, I'm gonna go kill some zombies."
Syd grinned back to her "I'll be up in a bit, we should run biotics lab tonight! Save me a spot."

"What do you mean you've never played Guitar hero!?" Gretchen asked
"Why would I play Guitar Hero? I play guitar. In real life!"
Blake drug his hand down across his face. "This information could have been useful before we bet on you."
Shayne snickered "Got caught up in the heat of the moment, and besides, I had no clue what his meta was. I'm heading down though. I feel like he's the type who would give me a disqualification if I miss the start time."
-----------------------
Shayne made it down stairs to the commons looking around wondering if anyone else from the night before would show up, a few people were hanging around, whether or not they saw Wade's announcement on Myface place or they just happened to be there at the time wasn't clear.
Her eyes turned to the TV, watching a bar quickly scroll down across the screen countless notes being hit one after the other. Whoever was doing it, it didn't seem too hard. She pressed her fingers against her palm, trying to follow along realizing it was very different than what she was used too.
She let out a deep breath, slowly walking over to the couch to see Sydney laying there with his eyes closed, mumbling something, controller in his hand. It was worse than she thought, he was clearly some sort of gaming cyborg. He wasn't hitting every note perfectly for the song, but for someone with their eyes closed and it scrolling that fast she was more than a little worried.
"Hey Sydney, right on time."
He didn't seem to respond, not even when she waved her hand right in front of his face. Shayne leaned in a little closer to hear what he was saying. It sounded like "One with the Guitar." with some gibberish added in for good measure. She reached down to give him a little shake, maybe he was in some sort of weird gaming trance or something. Maybe it was one of those seizures that games always warned you about.
He stopped playing the song, turning onto his side curling up with the guitar. Was he... sleeping? Another little shake and this time no response what so ever, just slow deep breaths coming from him as the song played on along the TV.
"Hey Syd!" A girls voice called out from behind her.
Taylor walked up "Oh, hey, you must be the girl who Sydney is going to... yeah, have you seen him, he was right here?"
Shayne smiled "Oh, hey, yeah he's... I think he's asleep?" She pointed down over the couch where he was curled up.
"Oh for Pete's sake. Sydney? Sydney!" Taylor side stepped her and came to his side shaking him much harder than Shayne had, but to no avail.
"I think he crashed, hard. After spending all night up raiding Friday night, then up all night living off energy drinks playing this dumb game instead of helping me get my tier 3...." she shook him one more time for good measure, which caused him to only curl up tighter with the controller.
Taylor put her hand on her hip. "I've seen this before, he'll be out. Its like he's a sleep camel. He goes a few days, crashes hard, stores up a bunch of hours sleep right now? He's comatose. " She sat down on top of him, he didn't seem to respond. "Did you want to play anyway?" Syd randomly mumbled about being one with the guitar.
Shayne laughed a little, looking at the notes still being hit on the television. "Before I answer this time, I gotta ask. What's *your* meta?"
Knocked you out.
