POWERS:
Light bender/manipulator - she has the ability to generate light and turn it into something tangible. She can use this to create powerful enough forces to knock someone down. She has the ability to control light for a variety of purposes. She can bend the light around her to become invisible, generate concussive blasts of tangible light, create hard light barriers, and will someday fly. She can emit light from her hands and body - the full spectrum from black light to near pure white light. To pull this off in game - she's a kinetic melee/energy. Each power is assigned a different color to represent refraction of light.
APPEARANCE:
Shayne likes colorful/flashy clothes, jeans and boots. She has reddish hair that she prefers to wear as a brighter shade.
BIO:
Shayne Vaughn, only child to a single mother, was born and raised in the suburbs of L.A. - until earlier in the year when her mother transferred to Paragon with a promotion from the Geneva hotel chain. They have a house, complete with garage/turned studio in the suburbs just outside of Paragon. With a job that requires plenty of travel, boarding school seemed to be the ideal solution for her daughter. She chose Westbrook because of it's close proximity, and it doesn't force the issue of patrolling like other 'hero' high schools. (Shayne's an avid patroller, she just keeps that bit from her mom. And at Westbrook it's just not mandatory.)
Shayne's mutation began when she was young, she's a self proclaimed laser light show. She has the ability to focus light waves into something tangible, protective force fields and projectiles.
Shayne loves music and plays both the guitar and drums. In Los Angeles, she played for the band - FreaK Storm. The group gained minor notice when their rocked out remake of "My Boyfriend's Back" was featured on an episode of a Nickelodeon show shortly before Shayne had to move. Now in Paragon, she has some rebuilding to do to get her life back in order.
