Murdered Librarian or Distrubed Girl?

The freckly red headed girl says, "I heard that Tosh hacked into the system and got everyone's grades, all the A's and F's, ya know? Then she, like, converted it from trinary or something and it spelled a message about Victor Langdon being murdered. Now if Tosh can hack a system and get everyone's grades, what would stop her from hacking the system to CHANGE everyone's grades. She was always close to that kooky old librarian. I think she's trying to get attention!"

The scrawny guy who actually did get abducted by aliens (and got superpowers from them!) says, It's no surprise! Our computer systems are wide open to anybody with... advanced technology. I wonder if it's for some purpose other than just getting attention. Do you think she could be hiding something?
