Varsity Blues: Espy's Exit

He'd been thinking about it for a while.

His football future was looking grim, while Denton was a step in the right direction, it would be years before the program was implemented in the NFL. Besides, there was more to life than football, and Espy had been raised to put family above all, and thats what he was doing.

His brother was sick. His family missed him, and he missed them too. Espy loved his friends at WB, he made a lot of strong relationships, very few enemies, but this wasn't about him, it was about his family.

Espy looked at his plane ticket and nodded to himself reassuringly. No more Football. No more Mustangs. He hopped into the cab without a word to anyone. He didn't want to make a scene, and he frankly couldn't deal with anymore upsetting goodbyes. It was now or never.
