Diego laughed a little at Lorne's description of Bronka, and of the fuzzy one's self-assessment. "You're about as dangerous as a teddy bear from what I've seen..."
He turned as Ar entered the room, making himself quite at home. He put another t-shirt in the drawer before closing it. "Cute, huh? Don't think I've been described that way before. Least not by a guy anyway," he replied casually.
He had a feeling the gadget subject wouldn't drop anytime soon. Rather than argue about it, he simply strode across the room, slipping past Lorne. He sifted through a couple boxes before he found the right one. He opened it up and started pulling out its contents. He set out nylon mesh bags full of rounded pellets. Each bag held pellets in different shades, sorted by color and size from the looks of it. Then he pulled out a case containing taser darts, another that held slender throwing knifes. He laid all of this out on the desk, grouping the bags together in a cluster and set the cases together, perfectly parallel with one another. He went back to the box and started pulling out cases holding arrow heads, and the various attachments he used with his arrows.
"Go ahead and have a look," he said as he looked over his shoulder. "Just don't toss the pellets. RA would get pissed if one of the smoke bombs or flash bang pellets went off in here."

Re: Settling In (Open)
Etienne, his curiosity piqued, stepped into the room to look over the various technological toys Diego had laid out. Picking up one of the arrowhead attachments, he turned it over in his hands.
"Lot of fancy tings here, mon ami. You sure you need all dis?"
He noticed a little switch on the box he was inspecting. Without thinking about it, he flicked the switch, then dropped the box as his hands snapped over his ears. The little device fell with a clunk as it emitted a loud, high-pitched shriek.

"Just uh. Don't let them scare you. We're all freaked out, but a lot of us would still sick up for you. You're still our classmate."

Lorne immediately covered his ears and tucked his head into his chest. Now was not the best time to have heightened senses.

"You'll have to either get used to it or get a hell of a lot ugli--"
Ar's reply was cut off by the shrieking Etienne inflicted on them all. He dove from the bed to the device, fluid poetry in motion if he did say so himself, and flicked the switch off as fast as he could.
"God, ET," he said as he climbed back up on the bed, device in hand (and safely out of Etienne's), "Start small. Go play with a light bulb or something. Work your way up to things invented last century."

You got base building problems? I feel bad for you, son. I got ninety-nine problems, but a clip ain't one.

Diego cringed as the device went off, but thankfully the painful noise ended as Ar deftly snatched it up and turned it off.
"It's alright," he said as he reached to take the device back, in a calm tone that he hoped would smooth things over a little. "We're all in one piece, ear drums are all intact, right?"

Lorne stretched his jaw open trying to get his ears to pop. He shook his head. There was still a slight ringing in there. He sat there momentarily before answering, "Yeah, I'm alright. Just a bit of a ringing." His ears were already returning to normal, "What WAS that thing?"

"That would be a prototype for a sonic disruption device," Diego replied. "Needed to get the mechanics of it down before I went with a smaller version to attach to an arrow. Right now its too big for an arrow, unless I want to get absolutely no distance whatsoever."
He set the device on the desk, then went back to the box and pulled out some other items.
"These, however, are good to go. This one's got an acid arrowhead. Nothing that's going to melt your face off, but it burns like hell when it gets on your skin. This one's to lay down a patch of glue. Just aim it at a guy, and when it hits, the capsule busts and sprays him and pretty much everything around him with the stuff. Really sticky too. Takes a special solvent to get it off."
He tossed the acid one Lorne's way and the glue one towards Ar. He wasn't worried about either of the attachments going off. It took a lot more force than a simple toss to make the capsules bust open, and neither had a sharp tip that could potentially put an eye out. He pulled out another attachment and held it out to Etienne...again, confident that nobody in the room currently could exert enough force to make any of this stuff go off.
"This is a flash arrowhead. Think like a flash bang grenade, only at the end of an arrow."
Then he pulled out one last attachment. This he kept a hold of, mostly because he wanted to take no chances of it going off since there was a cyborg in their midst. "And this would be my EMP arrowhead," he explained.
