"These things are heading for the health center."
Lily's slow approach turned into a sprint towards the health center, her breath shallow and cold in the late October night. She could hear shouts and inhuman shrieks, getting louder and louder as she grew closer and closer.
Mentally preparing herself for something horrible, Lily could now make out familiar voices; she knew Ar was already there, but was that... Will? When did he get involved?
Doesn't matter. They could both use a hand.
Lily flattened herself against the wall of the building, peering around the corner. She saw the two boys completely surrounded by the beasts, and more were trickling in to the battle. Whipping her head back, Lily braced herself. She was scared; it took a lot of effort to admit that to herself, let alone anyone else, but it was true. The unknown scared her, and she'd never seen things like these in Paragon.
But now its a fight, you versus them. And you certainly know how to fight.
Lily straightened her goggles, done with the mental preparation. With a deep breath, she closed her eyes; the dark red-violet light emanated out of her freely, appearing especially strong and bright in the dark of night. The black of her pupils swirled into red, her goal clear.
Lily swiftly turned the corner and outstretched a hand, straight at one of the beasts preparing to launch itself at Ar. She clenched her fist, and the light traveled to the monster; the creature stopped in mid-air, let out a shriek appropriate for its appearance, and fell to the ground, writhing in visible agony. Within seconds, the pain grew too intense for the beast, with wounds appearing all along its body; it stopped moving, and Lily shifted her focus, empowered.
"The others are coming guys, hang tough. Give a shout if you're wounded!"
Of course, all this caused a few of the other beasts to head in her direction, and now she was in the same situation they were: slightly overwhelmed, but fighting to the last.

"Fight pretty good for a dead chick from Maine." Arthur grinned up at Will as the red lighting saved his butt yet again. There wasn't time for more chatter. He was taking a beating and needed all the brain power he could get to stay half a step ahead of these things.

After the students fought their way into the front of the health center they took a moment to evaluate what exactly was going on.

Trick Shot: Mayhem.
William Carter: He's crazy.
Trick Shot: Lots and lots of mayhem.
Toshiko Rikuo: Who is? Cause there's several options at this point.
Epic Scale: I'm good at mayhem
William Carter: We have to get those blood samples before he gets them!
Trick Shot: Whoa nelly.
Epic Scale: Be wery quiet

Epic Scale: Heh
William Carter considers
At this point the group get attacked by the first batch of monsters.
Jo Puckett: Ow...
Epic Scale: Hey Lily, didn't see you there.
Epic Scale: Way to not be dead.
Cadence Calloway: Incoming!
William Carter: Damn... he built these things tough...
Toshiko Rikuo: Who?
Bronka Hajjar: Who's "he"?
Epic Scale: Wait, someone built these?
Trick Shot: Who's at?

Finally the first fight is finished.
William Carter starts to say something and then stops and speaks flatly
William Carter: The same guy who created me.
William Carter: His name is Dr. Heidrich.
Trick Shot: Nice.
Epic Scale: I mean, uh, YOU'RE fun. Just not these things.
William Carter: He used to have some beef with The Crimson Avenger.
Bronka Hajjar: Err... "created" you?
William Carter: Yeah... cloned from Westbrook's DNA.
William Carter: Rapidly grown in a lab.
Jo Puckett: Yeah, what Bronka said.
Trick Shot: Score one for Penny, I guess.

Trick Shot: Ok. Continue pounding on monsters?

Epic Scale: Man, sucks that no one else in the world can make drugs/
Trick Shot: I count six up there. (At this point Trick Shot pointed out the monsters on the next floor)
Bronka Hajjar: Right. So we need to grab our blood samples, and then we need to grab as much of your meds as we can so you don't like, die.
Jo Puckett: Then we kill him, anyway?
Cadence Calloway scowls at Will, before going along with the group.
Toshiko Rikuo: Somebody wanna get their attention?
William Carter sparks.
Epic Scale: Nope. I don't kill. They expect that.
Lily Shen: It wouldn't be the first time someone's turned. Alright, I'm behind ya, Will.
Trick Shot: Watch out above.
At this point they fight through the second mob of monsters on their way to recover the blood samples.
Epic Scale: HOW old are you?
William Carter: 3 months... give or take.
Epic Scale sighs
Epic Scale: Okay, Will's new here. I'll give him that. But that doctor...
Trick Shot: Only been a citizen for 2.
Epic Scale: I'm...not very happy with the doctor.
The group does some exploration trying to find the blood samples.
Trick Shot: Empty up there.
The group finds an extremely large black winged monster hunting around as if it's looking for something. Other monsters around him cover him and attack.
William Carter: That thing is huge!
The monster finds what it was looking for and runs.
More creatures poor in to cover the black winged creatures escape
Toshiko Rikuo: ... That thing broke my bot!
Trick Shot checks the supply crate and finds that the blood samples are gone
Trick Shot: Shit.
Trick Shot: Shit!
Toshiko Rikuo: What?
Epic Scale: What?
William Carter: What?
Trick Shot: Gone.
Epic Scale: Jinx.
Trick Shot: Big and black.
Epic Scale melts the box down into slag
Cadence Calloway: No...
Epic Scale: Next.
Toshiko Rikuo: Seriously? Great...
William Carter: Ok... they're heading back to the hospital. Let's go.
Trick Shot: If we're chasing a fight, I'm not going unarmed.
Toshiko Rikuo: There's a hospital?
William Carter: Yeah... it's where I was created...
William Carter: He's been using it as a base of operations... been abandoned for years.
William Carter: The meds will be there too.
William Carter sparks a little more eratically.
Bronka Hajjar: Sounds like a plan.
Toshiko Rikuo: Everyone ready?
Trick Shot: We should definitely follow you there blindly.
Jo Puckett: As ready as ever.
The group takes off across the city and finds the old abandoned hospital. It's still full of old medical equipment but it's definitely not been used for any legitimate medical purposes in many years.
Trick Shot: What sick HMO designed this place?
Cadence Calloway: Not much of a choice. We have to get those blood samples back....
At this point monsters swarm the group by the truckloads.
Trick Shot: Company.
Trick Shot: Lots.
William Carter: Shit there's a lot of these things...
After they defeat the first batch of monsters...
William Carter: Follow me.
Jo Puckett: Famous last words?
Toshiko Rikuo: Yeah. Sure.
Trick Shot: It's not a trap.
Trick Shot: Ever.
They arrive at the elevator to find another batch of monsters in front of it.
William Carter: Shit... they're blocking the elevator...
Epic Scale: Not for long
Trev gets hurt.
Cadence Calloway: You alright Trev?
Epic Scale: Fine.
Trick Shot: Upstairs.
Epic Scale: Thanks.
On the second story they find a large group of monsters hanging out in a loft overhead.
William Carter: We might be able to sneak around...
Trick Shot: Big crowd.
They sneak under the loft, go down the hall and find a large group of monsters guarding the final room.
Trick Shot: Oh look. More.
Jo Puckett: I don't think we're sneaking around them.
William Carter: Nope... we ready?
Bronka Hajjar: No, but whatever.
Toshiko Rikuo: Sure.
Jo Puckett: After you.
After that fight finishes they check that they're all intact.
Epic Scale: You guys okay?
Epic Scale seems to be thawing a little
Trick Shot: Long night.
Jo Puckett: Yeah. Nothing broken that won't mend.
Toshiko Rikuo: No kidding.
Trick Shot: Circle.
Cadence Calloway: Yeah....the ones shooting green stuff are making things a little tough.
Epic Scale: I keep trying to shut them down as fast as I can.
Cadence Calloway: Same here.
Epic Scale: Flamethrowers unite.
Trick Shot: Huh.
Epic Scale: Form of...more flame.
They look around the final huge room in the hospital.
Toshiko Rikuo: Well, this looks... horrifying.
Trick Shot: And empty.
Bronka Hajjar: Something over here.
Cadence Calloway: ...lot of green
Bronka Hajjar: I think I found the blood samples.
Epic Scale: Slag is still an option.
Toshiko Rikuo: Was that them?
Jo Puckett: Well?
Trick Shot: You lava boys.
Toshiko Rikuo: Uh...
Bronka Hajjar checks the supply crate and finds the blood samples, but the group is distracted by the sudden appearance of Doctor Heidrich!
Dr. Heidrich: Stop! I'm not done with those yet!
Dr. Heidrich: I will see you dead for this intrusion!
Dr. Heidrich attacks the group with a combination of ice and energy powers.
Epic Scale mutters unkind things.
Dr. Heidrich: I can not be defeated!
Epic Scale: Baseline loser!
They beat him down and look like they're going to defeat him when...
Dr. Heidrich: No! I will not be defeated by the likes of you!
William Carter: He teleported...
William Carter: He's some where else in the building... not down yet...
They hunt through trying to find out where he's gone to.
Bronka Hajjar: There he is.
This time he attacks with a combination of electical and dark powers.
Dr. Heidrich Evolved: I must have more power!
Dr. Heidrich Evolved: Feel my wrath!
Dr. Heidrich Evolved: Your powers are amazing! I will have all of them!
Again just before they can defeat him he teleports away.
Dr. Heidrich Evolved: No! I can not be defeated! I need more powers!
Toshiko Rikuo: What's with the electricity? He's frying my circuits!
William Carter: Damn it... he's gone again...
They hunt him down a third time this time he attack with still yet different powers.
Dr. Heidrich Mutated : You will ruin everything!
Dr. Heidrich Mutated : I won't let you win! Not after everything I've done to get here!
Epic Scale: Can't make powers, didn't get them...had to steal them!
Dr. Heidrich Mutated : No! I must increase the dosage!
He again teleports away.
Toshiko Rikuo: "A higher dosage" of what?
Epic Scale: Stolen DNA
William Carter: He must be using the same drugs I need to keep his DNA stable..
They hunt through and find the drugs, but they are surrounded by more monsters.
Trick Shot: Found it.
Toshiko Rikuo: So take out the supplies and he stops? Yes?
William Carter hesitates
William Carter: …Yes.
Trick Shot: And you stop.
William Carter remains silent
The group finds the doctors medical supplies
Epic Scale and William Carter destroy the supplies
Dr. Heidrich appears yet again... it has become apparent that he's on power overload.
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!?
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: You will all pay! I will kill you all!
Toshiko Rikuo: Yikes!
Toshiko Rikuo: What the hell?
Jo Puckett: What the hell?
Toshiko Rikuo: What did he do to himself?
Trick Shot: What didn't he do?
Cadence Calloway: Keep him locked down
Epic Scale: Guys? help?
Toshiko Rikuo: Kinda stuck back here!
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: I'll tear your genetic code out of you with my bare hands!

Foam begins pouring from the doctor’s mouth
Cadence Calloway: Besides, Crey's got first dibs...
Dr. Heidrich falls to the ground and starts convulsing uncontrollably.
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: Aaaaraarah! Araraaaraah! AAAAAAAAARARARAAARAAHHH!
Finally he stops and all is quiet.
William Carter shakes.
Trick Shot: Will?
William Carter: Guys...
Epic Scale shudders in time with the ground, gradually subsides.
William Carter: Back...
William Carter: I'm losing it...
Toshiko Rikuo: Wait, what?
William Carter: Go...
Bronka Hajjar: Where are the meds?
William Carter: They're gone...
Trick Shot: We boomed em.
Bronka Hajjar: Why?
Jo Puckett: I think he destroyed them.
Trick Shot: To stop the doc. You were there, Buh.
William Carter: I'm sorry.
Bronka Hajjar: *I* didn't destroy any medicine.
Epic Scale: I did. I thought it was the doc's!

William Carter: I don't know who she is... but... probably...

William Carter: You know as well as everyone here that there was no confiscating anything from him.

Trick Shot: Eh, evil clones happen.
William Carter: And thank you... for showing me what a real life is like.
Trick Shot: As they go, you weren't half bad.
Epic Scale: it wasn't your fault.
William Carter: I think you'd better go...

The group stumbles out of the hospital

Cadence Calloway starts to see what's wrong with Ar, but stops...since...she's on fire

Toshiko Rikuo finally gives up and plops clumsily down on the floor.
Cadence Calloway hangs back.
Epic Scale: Do we call an ambulance for him, or what?

Bronka Hajjar: Well *I'm* not going to carry him.
Epic Scale: I doubt carrying is the best move.
Bronka Hajjar: Are you alive, Lorne?

Bronka Hajjar: Well, we're outside an old hospital. Think we can find a stretcher or something?
Lorne Hazlewood: I think that some times after an electric pulse like that you just need to reset the systems.

Bronka Hajjar: We can reset him in the morning.
Lorne Hazlewood: Let's get a stretcher.

Lorne Hazlewood helps Bronka find a stretcher and returns outside.

Epic Scale suddenly isn't kidding around

Cadence Calloway clenches her fists, visibly upset.

Epic Scale spits it

Lily Shen stares coldly at Will.

Bronka Hajjar: Believe it or not, I think I actually understand what's going on now.

William Carter: First we have to get the blood samples before he does.
Cadence Calloway: ....why should we trust you now?
Epic Scale: We probably would have had a better time of that if they hadn't been stolen in the first place.
Trick Shot: Ok. Continue pounding on monsters?
Lily Shen: "We?" Why are you on our side, now?
Epic Scale: He's not. But there are monsters.
Trick Shot: Course he is.
William Carter: Because... color me naive... I've been alive for 3 months.
Trick Shot: It's Will.
Epic Scale: Way to pick a team.
Epic Scale: Come on.
William Carter: He filled my head with hope and dreams and a better future...
Bronka Hajjar: Hey, as long as he's willling to take point, I'm willing to cut him some slack.

Toshiko Rikuo: I'm with Bronka.

Epic Scale isn't giving an inch
Jo Puckett: More?
Bronka Hajjar: What more? I'm good with what we have already!
William Carter: Look... you can hate me if you want... and I'm not looking for sympathy.
Epic Scale: There's always more. Does it matter right now?
Jo Puckett: Oh, do tell!
Trick Shot: You kill her?
William Carter: He's got meds... if I don't take them... I lose control of my powers... and I don't know what that will do.
William Carter: But he's made it sounds like it won't be good... for me.
Bronka Hajjar: Umm... is he the only source of those meds?

Jo Puckett: Oh, the "I had no choice" defense. Rich.
William Carter: It's something home grown.
Epic Scale: Man, sucks that no one else in the world can make drugs/
Trick Shot: I count six up there. (At this point Trick Shot pointed out the monsters on the next floor)
Bronka Hajjar: Right. So we need to grab our blood samples, and then we need to grab as much of your meds as we can so you don't like, die.
Jo Puckett: Then we kill him, anyway?
Cadence Calloway scowls at Will, before going along with the group.
Toshiko Rikuo: Somebody wanna get their attention?
William Carter sparks.
Epic Scale: Nope. I don't kill. They expect that.
Lily Shen: It wouldn't be the first time someone's turned. Alright, I'm behind ya, Will.
Trick Shot: Watch out above.
At this point they fight through the second mob of monsters on their way to recover the blood samples.
Epic Scale: HOW old are you?
William Carter: 3 months... give or take.
Epic Scale sighs
Epic Scale: Okay, Will's new here. I'll give him that. But that doctor...
Trick Shot: Only been a citizen for 2.
Epic Scale: I'm...not very happy with the doctor.
The group does some exploration trying to find the blood samples.
Trick Shot: Empty up there.
The group finds an extremely large black winged monster hunting around as if it's looking for something. Other monsters around him cover him and attack.
William Carter: That thing is huge!
The monster finds what it was looking for and runs.
More creatures poor in to cover the black winged creatures escape
Toshiko Rikuo: ... That thing broke my bot!
Trick Shot checks the supply crate and finds that the blood samples are gone
Trick Shot: Shit.
Trick Shot: Shit!
Toshiko Rikuo: What?
Epic Scale: What?
William Carter: What?
Trick Shot: Gone.
Epic Scale: Jinx.
Trick Shot: Big and black.
Epic Scale melts the box down into slag
Cadence Calloway: No...
Epic Scale: Next.
Toshiko Rikuo: Seriously? Great...
William Carter: Ok... they're heading back to the hospital. Let's go.
Trick Shot: If we're chasing a fight, I'm not going unarmed.
Toshiko Rikuo: There's a hospital?
William Carter: Yeah... it's where I was created...
William Carter: He's been using it as a base of operations... been abandoned for years.
William Carter: The meds will be there too.
William Carter sparks a little more eratically.
Bronka Hajjar: Sounds like a plan.
Toshiko Rikuo: Everyone ready?
Trick Shot: We should definitely follow you there blindly.
Jo Puckett: As ready as ever.
The group takes off across the city and finds the old abandoned hospital. It's still full of old medical equipment but it's definitely not been used for any legitimate medical purposes in many years.
Trick Shot: What sick HMO designed this place?
Cadence Calloway: Not much of a choice. We have to get those blood samples back....
At this point monsters swarm the group by the truckloads.
Trick Shot: Company.
Trick Shot: Lots.
William Carter: Shit there's a lot of these things...
After they defeat the first batch of monsters...
William Carter: Follow me.
Jo Puckett: Famous last words?
Toshiko Rikuo: Yeah. Sure.
Trick Shot: It's not a trap.
Trick Shot: Ever.
They arrive at the elevator to find another batch of monsters in front of it.
William Carter: Shit... they're blocking the elevator...
Epic Scale: Not for long
Trev gets hurt.
Cadence Calloway: You alright Trev?
Epic Scale: Fine.
Trick Shot: Upstairs.
Epic Scale: Thanks.
On the second story they find a large group of monsters hanging out in a loft overhead.
William Carter: We might be able to sneak around...
Trick Shot: Big crowd.
They sneak under the loft, go down the hall and find a large group of monsters guarding the final room.
Trick Shot: Oh look. More.
Jo Puckett: I don't think we're sneaking around them.
William Carter: Nope... we ready?
Bronka Hajjar: No, but whatever.
Toshiko Rikuo: Sure.
Jo Puckett: After you.
After that fight finishes they check that they're all intact.
Epic Scale: You guys okay?
Epic Scale seems to be thawing a little
Trick Shot: Long night.
Jo Puckett: Yeah. Nothing broken that won't mend.
Toshiko Rikuo: No kidding.
Trick Shot: Circle.
Cadence Calloway: Yeah....the ones shooting green stuff are making things a little tough.
Epic Scale: I keep trying to shut them down as fast as I can.
Cadence Calloway: Same here.
Epic Scale: Flamethrowers unite.
Trick Shot: Huh.
Epic Scale: Form of...more flame.
They look around the final huge room in the hospital.
Toshiko Rikuo: Well, this looks... horrifying.
Trick Shot: And empty.
Bronka Hajjar: Something over here.
Cadence Calloway: ...lot of green
Bronka Hajjar: I think I found the blood samples.
Epic Scale: Slag is still an option.
Toshiko Rikuo: Was that them?
Jo Puckett: Well?
Trick Shot: You lava boys.
Toshiko Rikuo: Uh...
Bronka Hajjar checks the supply crate and finds the blood samples, but the group is distracted by the sudden appearance of Doctor Heidrich!
Dr. Heidrich: Stop! I'm not done with those yet!
Dr. Heidrich: I will see you dead for this intrusion!
Dr. Heidrich attacks the group with a combination of ice and energy powers.
Epic Scale mutters unkind things.
Dr. Heidrich: I can not be defeated!
Epic Scale: Baseline loser!
They beat him down and look like they're going to defeat him when...
Dr. Heidrich: No! I will not be defeated by the likes of you!
William Carter: He teleported...
William Carter: He's some where else in the building... not down yet...
They hunt through trying to find out where he's gone to.
Bronka Hajjar: There he is.
This time he attacks with a combination of electical and dark powers.
Dr. Heidrich Evolved: I must have more power!
Dr. Heidrich Evolved: Feel my wrath!
Dr. Heidrich Evolved: Your powers are amazing! I will have all of them!
Again just before they can defeat him he teleports away.
Dr. Heidrich Evolved: No! I can not be defeated! I need more powers!
Toshiko Rikuo: What's with the electricity? He's frying my circuits!
William Carter: Damn it... he's gone again...
They hunt him down a third time this time he attack with still yet different powers.
Dr. Heidrich Mutated : You will ruin everything!
Dr. Heidrich Mutated : I won't let you win! Not after everything I've done to get here!
Epic Scale: Can't make powers, didn't get them...had to steal them!
Dr. Heidrich Mutated : No! I must increase the dosage!
He again teleports away.
Toshiko Rikuo: "A higher dosage" of what?
Epic Scale: Stolen DNA
William Carter: He must be using the same drugs I need to keep his DNA stable..
They hunt through and find the drugs, but they are surrounded by more monsters.
Trick Shot: Found it.
Toshiko Rikuo: So take out the supplies and he stops? Yes?
William Carter hesitates
William Carter: …Yes.
Trick Shot: And you stop.
William Carter remains silent
The group finds the doctors medical supplies
Epic Scale and William Carter destroy the supplies
Dr. Heidrich appears yet again... it has become apparent that he's on power overload.
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!?
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: You will all pay! I will kill you all!
Toshiko Rikuo: Yikes!
Toshiko Rikuo: What the hell?
Jo Puckett: What the hell?
Toshiko Rikuo: What did he do to himself?
Trick Shot: What didn't he do?
Cadence Calloway: Keep him locked down
Epic Scale: Guys? help?
Toshiko Rikuo: Kinda stuck back here!
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: I'll tear your genetic code out of you with my bare hands!
Trick Shot: Better?
Toshiko Rikuo: Much.
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: I'll kill you! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!
Epic Scale: You're not even pathetic.
Cadence Calloway: Take a number...
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: Raaaaa! Raraararrrr!
Foam begins pouring from the doctor’s mouth
Cadence Calloway: Besides, Crey's got first dibs...
Dr. Heidrich falls to the ground and starts convulsing uncontrollably.
Dr. Heidrich Unstable: Aaaaraarah! Araraaaraah! AAAAAAAAARARARAAARAAHHH!
Finally he stops and all is quiet.
William Carter shakes.
Trick Shot: Will?
William Carter: Guys...
Epic Scale shudders in time with the ground, gradually subsides.
William Carter: Back...
William Carter: I'm losing it...
Toshiko Rikuo: Wait, what?
William Carter: Go...
Bronka Hajjar: Where are the meds?
William Carter: They're gone...
Trick Shot: We boomed em.
Bronka Hajjar: Why?
Jo Puckett: I think he destroyed them.
Trick Shot: To stop the doc. You were there, Buh.
William Carter: I'm sorry.
Bronka Hajjar: *I* didn't destroy any medicine.
Epic Scale: I did. I thought it was the doc's!
Trick Shot: It was.
William Carter: You did the right thing, Trev.
William Carter: I was going to do it if you didn't...
Bronka Hajjar: Why?
William Carter: It was the only way to stop him.
William Carter: His genetic code was going crazy... and now mine is too.
Toshiko Rikuo: The doc was using it to keep his DNA stable.
Trick Shot: Gretchen Cruikshank. He off her?
William Carter: I don't know who she is... but... probably...
Bronka Hajjar: But all we had to do was confiscate the meds.
William Carter: You saw him Bronka...
William Carter: You know as well as everyone here that there was no confiscating anything from him.
William Carter: I'm sorry for what I did guys...
Trick Shot: Eh, evil clones happen.
William Carter: And thank you... for showing me what a real life is like.
Trick Shot: As they go, you weren't half bad.
Epic Scale: it wasn't your fault.
William Carter: I think you'd better go...
William Carter: I can't control it much longer...
Trick Shot: Later.
William Carter: ...
William Carter grits his teeth.
William Carter: Go!
Toshiko Rikuo: Ar. You and I at least need to get out of here.
Jo Puckett: What's going to happen to you?
Bronka Hajjar: See you again.
William Carter: Go!
Epic Scale: now I feel bad for the time I told him to cut loose.
William Carter explodes, sending out a massive EMP pulse
The group stumbles out of the hospital
Tr1ck Shot is immobile
Toshiko Rikuo pulls off her goggles and stumbles a little
Toshiko Rikuo: Guys? Is everyone alright?
Cadence Calloway starts to see what's wrong with Ar, but stops...since...she's on fire
Epic Scale pokes him
Cadence Calloway: Cuts and bruises...but...*points to Ar* he's not moving....
Jo Puckett: Alright? Are you nuts?
Toshiko Rikuo: Who isn't?
Bronka Hajjar: How alright are you supposed to be after watching someone commit suicide?
Epic Scale: I'm only walking through sheer force of awesome.
Epic Scale: Poor Will.

Tr1ck Shot would have laughed.

Epic Scale: It was two separate thoughts, and bite me.

Toshiko Rikuo: Crap. That makes sense. A little. My goggles quit working too. Is he at least breathing?
Tr1ck Shot has stable vitals.
Bronka Hajjar checks Ar for signs of life
Bronka Hajjar: I think he's okay. Sort of.
Bronka Hajjar: Like, he may need a techie more than a doctor.
Toshiko Rikuo finally gives up and plops clumsily down on the floor.
Cadence Calloway hangs back.
Epic Scale: Do we call an ambulance for him, or what?
Lorne Hazlewood: Ar?
Bronka Hajjar: Well *I'm* not going to carry him.
Epic Scale: I doubt carrying is the best move.
Bronka Hajjar: Are you alive, Lorne?
Lorne Hazlewood: I'm alright.
Bronka Hajjar: Well, we're outside an old hospital. Think we can find a stretcher or something?
Lorne Hazlewood: I think that some times after an electric pulse like that you just need to reset the systems.
Lorne Hazlewood: Actually... I don't know what I'm talking about.
Bronka Hajjar: We can reset him in the morning.
Lorne Hazlewood: Let's get a stretcher.
Bronka Hajjar: Maybe Wednesday. Or Thursday.
Lorne Hazlewood helps Bronka find a stretcher and returns outside.
Epic Scale grabs an end
Lorne Hazlewood grabs Ar's legs.
Lorne Hazlewood: You ready, Trev?
Epic Scale: Heave ho
Lorne Hazlewood lifts Ar up and sets him on the stretcher grunting a bit.
Jo Puckett watches blankly.
Lorne Hazlewood: He's heavier than he looks.
Toshiko Rikuo: Can someone... God this is stupid... at least until I can find a security camera or something, I might need some help.
Epic Scale: All the...oof...meatloaf....
Lorne Hazlewood: Bronka... Tosh is blind without her goggles.
Lorne Hazlewood: Can you help her back to the dorms?
Bronka Hajjar: Does anybody know anyone with a van?
Jo Puckett: No...
Epic Scale: Yeah.
Cadence Calloway: No...sorry...
Toshiko Rikuo: Not off the top of my head. I'm not local.
Lorne Hazlewood: We may have to call some one... oh wait...
Lorne realizes the EMP blast took out their phones and comms.
Lorne Hazlewood gently pats Ar on the side of the face.
Lorne Hazlewood: Ar... you in there?
Tr1ck Shot blinks.
Tr1ck Shot twice.
Epic Scale wanders off to find a pay phone and calls some one
Epic Scale: Yes. You DO owe me.
Epic Scale: Yeah, King's Row.
Lorne Hazlewood: It's gonna look awfully weird with us dragging your ass on a stretcher on a train.
Epic Scale: Fine. Yeah. Thanks.
Epic Scale comes back to the group
Epic Scale: Ten minutes.
Epic Scale: Friend of mine who has a van.
Lorne Hazlewood: Ar... you ok?
Tr1ck Shot blinks twice.
Lorne Hazlewood: Does blinking twice mean yes?
Tr1ck Shot blinks twice.
Bronka Hajjar: Isn't it once for yes and twice for no?
Lorne Hazlewood: Ok... so you're ok... can we reset your system?
Tr1ck Shot rolls his eyes.
Lorne Hazlewood: Is there a switch located on your body?
Tr1ck Shot blinks once.
Bronka Hajjar: Is there like a panel on the back of your head we can open?
Jo Puckett almost laughs at the hilarity of the discussion, despite her foul mood, but simply snorts instead.
Cadence Calloway: I can't um...I can't ride in a train or anything....not like this anyway. Should I...should I fly ahead to the school? Make sure that they're ready for us?
Epic Scale: That's probably a good idea.
Tr1ck Shot closes his eyes for a moment, then opens to see if the message conveyed.
Lorne Hazlewood: That'd be good.
Bronka Hajjar: Sure, go ahead, Cadence.
Cadence Calloway: Alright. I'll fly as fast as I can.
Lorne Hazlewood: We have a van on the way, Ar.
Lorne Hazlewood: Do you need to go back to the school?
Tr1ck Shot blinks twice.
Lorne Hazlewood: Ok, we can do that.
Tr1ck Shot eyes roam around for his pet drone.
Lorne Hazlewood: Ok... so... just exited an abandoned hospital and now we're going to load a seemingly unconscious body into a van.
Lorne Hazlewood loads Ar in the back of the van when it arrives.
Lorne Hazlewood: Everything clear at school Cadence?
Cadence Calloway: Yeah...they're ready for us....
Lorne Hazlewood: We're on our way.
