Ghost Hunt((Open))

[Chris Sloan]

"How are you doing, Lucas? Been a while since I had a chance to talk, sorry." He smiled as the message appeared.

Cassandra came storming down the dorm stairs, "Chris!"

Chris looks over at her away from the board, "Huh?"

Cassandra comes in in a bad temper, still in uniform. "Chris, I missed Magic Club!"

Chris nodded in response, "Yeah, I uh... noticed."

Cassandra walks with a fast and fuming stride, reaching into her book bag.

Chris watched her curiously, "You okay?"


Cassandra pulls out her notepad, opened to the page where she had wrote, even with Lucas' writing gone now. She slams it with a hard open hand on the table next to him. "I wanted to show this to everyone, but I missed it!"

Chris looks at the notebook, curious.

Cassandra taps her finger against the paper. "I found a ghost, here on the campus! I completed a summoning ritual and learned his name."

Chris is struck by sudden realization, "Oh! You mean Lucas?" He looks over to the board where Lucas was drawing.

She looks up to him with a self satisfied smirk, despite the very obvious furrow still to her brow, and the angry wrinkle to her little button nose. "Its Luc--! ... What?"

Chris looks over to the board, "Sorry Lucas, didn't get the chance to ask her not to use magic to find you yet."

[Cadabra]

Cassandra followed Chris' look with a slow, apprehensive turn of her head. She sunk into a slump, and leaned back against the desk across from Chris; giving a defeated sigh.

"How wicked... Thank you, JW. Thank you."

Chris nodded, "That's okay Lucas, it shouldn't happen again." He turns to Cassandra to explain. "He doesn't like magic being used on him."

[Cadabra]

Cassandra leaned harder into the desk, crossing her arms over her chest, and taking one last deep breath to catch her temper. She turned again to look at the board, giving it something of an apologetic, soft smile, with a wave from one hand out of the arm of the other.

“Hello, Lucas.”

Turning back to Chris, she talked quieter behind the same hand she used to wave toward the board, as though the board would read her lips. "Well I know that now."

Chris turned back to Cass, "Don't worry, Lucas is pretty cool. But, you might as well be here when I ask this." He turned back to the area and looked at a space about a foot in front of the board where he assumed Lucas was. "It still okay if I ask that question I mentioned if she's here?"

Chris nodded, "Thanks. Always intended to ask at some point but wasn't sure how you'd respond. But, I'd like to ask if you want to join the magic club I run. I think we'd all really like to have you around." He looked to Cass for a moment as if to get her opinion.
