The Blair Athletic Complex consists of a gymnasium and Olympic-size swimming pool for use in physical education classes, sports, training, and, of course, recreation. The gym contains a basketball court as well as areas upstairs for martial arts, yoga, dance, weight lifting, and other general exercise. In addition to standard weights, the gym also houses programmable pneumatic weight machines capable of testing the strongest students on campus.

In a surprising twist of genetics, all four of John and Janet Blair’s children had mutations. For over a decade, the Blair house was in a state of controlled chaos and John and Janet tried to teach their kids how to handle abilities they never dreamed possible. Louis Herrera is one of the key reasons that house is still standing today. While working on his degrees, Herrera volunteered extensively in after-school programs for budding metahumans. It was there that he encountered and befriended the four Blair children.

Sam and Chelsea Blair went on to become the superheroes Thundersnow and Firefly. They can still be found patrolling Paragon City today. Maria Blair used her abilities to jumpstart what has now become a multimillion dollar eco-tech company and Nathan Blair began working for G.I.F.T. shortly after the first Rikti War. The four Blair children decided to jointly sponsor the academy’s Athletic Center provided the school name the facility after their parents.
