Did That Just Happen?

"Did you hear the smoke alarm go off last night?"
"Yeah... I heard it was a false alarm. They didn't even evacuate the building."
"I bet it was the same person who burned that warning on the wall."
"That's not what I heard. And I heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy who was told by the guy who found it. There was a little cross, maybe two feet tall, that somebody lit on fire and left outside of one of the dorm rooms on the boy's floor."
"No way!"
"Totally. The Residence Director just cleaned it all up. Swept it under the rug, so to speak, so no one would freak out..."
