The New Guy

[Seth Molokhya]

Seth looked over at Will,

"Well you've heard my advice. Number one, don't get caught alone in the Cafeteria. Number two, one word, uniform. I figure you don't have one yet since you're new. I didn't either, but when you get it, you gotta wear it. They will definitely call you on it. Now, I'm not trying to scare you away from the Cafeteria, it's just like, if you don't have a table, you'll be dubbed an outcast within the first week you're here. Lucky for you, you ran into me," Seth gave a big grin and chuckled. He then shifted his attention to the table,

"Anyone else?"

"What he said, but the complete opposite. You gotta stay aloof, or else there's no way we'll know you're cooler than us," Arthur said with a friendly wave toward Etienne, across the room.

"Also, don't let the man get you down. Every little bit of resistance helps. Be strong." He held out a fist to the person next to him.

"Eh, he has a point. We'll never know if you can make it without us if you aren't without us, although you seemed to make it through the morning. You're here right?" Seth smiled, "I think you'll catch on quickly."

[Etienne Mbane]

Etienne gave Arthur a smile, and an almost shy wave back before going back to defending his green beans from his friend trying to hoard them in his school bag.

"Hey. You going to be too fat to run away from the girl if you keep dat up."

The beady eyes looked at him from the darkness, almost a guilty look. Etienne turned back to listen to the advice Will was being given. He had none to offer himself, as he still wasn't used to the cold, never mind the structured schedule of school.

Tosh hit her fist against Artie's before turning back to Will. "Honestly, you learn pretty quick who to seek out and who to avoid. Avoid Nilesh and the cafeteria if you can help it. Need to know where things are around here? Lorne's probably your best bet. The way he talks, you'd think he was born here. Want to know the best restaurants in town? Talk to Trevor. He's a local kid so I bet he knows the hole in the wall places."

She grinned widely, seeming to adjust something on the edge of her glasses. "And if you need study help, that'd be me."

Seth chuckled,

"I warned him about Nilesh earlier. It's not that he's really all that scary, but he will win every fist-fight you pick with him. His abilities are like cheating, I mean come on, he's a walking Sapper."
