Kai let out a whoop at Lorne's impressive stumble.
"That was amazing, Fuzzy. You totally showed that hole in the ground who's boss. What're you doing, anyway?"
He didn't seem to notice the increasing necromantic weirdness accumulating all around him.

Re: Total Eclipse (Open RP)
"Nah, no thanks," Eli replied to Cadence's offered chips. "I'm good."
He settled down on the blanket and tried to get comfortable, looking up at the moon and relaxing a bit in the relative warmth. He took a moment to be aware of the plants around him, as awareness made it easier to ignore their effects on him. He could feel the grass, mostly dormant but not completely silent. There was a touch of irritation. No, not irritation, he reminded himself, since plants can't actually be irritated. A touch of discord. Due to being trampled by countless students' feet, no doubt. There were also some bushes and trees in the area, which were only slightly less dormant. A trace of irritation on the bushes, he noted, probably from being pruned and maintained. The trees were fairly neutral, but not exactly happy.
"Anybody know how long this is supposed to last?" he heard Cadence ask with a yawn. He was about to answer when Lorne grabbed everybody's attention with his amazingly averted catastrophe. Eli just shook his head a bit. If it wasn't Lorne, he'd have wondered if the stunt had been choreographed on purpose. But Lorne... well, yes, he's like a cat.
Once Lorne started assembling his astronomical paraphernalia--a telescope and binoculars? really?--Eli sat up a bit so he could look past Morgan and respond to Cadence. "I think the flyer said something about the partial eclipse starting before 2 and the total eclipse starting around 2:40. And the total eclipse is supposed to last over an hour. They really should have arranged a solar eclipse for extra credit instead. They're over and done with in five minutes."
Eli paused and stared at the air to his side. He could have sworn he saw something faint for a moment, a bit of movement where nothing was. There was a faint bit of something smokey... fog? Odd, but whatever. He laid back down and waited for the moon to get on with it already.

Why, outside of starring in bad 80's music videos, does one wear their sunglasses at night? To hide the fact that one is happily napping under the stars and some crap with the moon for extra credit.
You got base building problems? I feel bad for you, son. I got ninety-nine problems, but a clip ain't one.
