"Hey Will. I'm Trev." Trevor leaned over to shake the new guy's hand. "Settling in okay?"

Will nodded in response and took a bite out of his apple. He crunched on it for a few seconds and swallowed before saying anything else, "I'm doing OK, considering. This is one freaky place, Man."

Tosh plopped down at the table quickly looked down at her food. "Can't they just make normal food? Like every other high school in America? If it's green and not a veggie or jello, I'm not touching it."

She pushed the offending food around her plate for a few moments before looking up. "Oh! Hey. New guy. Sorry, I didn't see you. I'm Tosh."

Seth gave a greeting nod towards Tosh as she sat down at the table. Seth laughed,

"It may be freaky, but like it or not you're part of it now. Speaking of, what's your deal? If you're here, it's because you do something a normal kid can't. Like, can you," Seth took a rock out of his pocket, "Do this?"

The rock quickly faded into a ball of compacted sand. Seth brought one of his hands out a little further and made the sand transfer back and forth between the two.

"Naw, man. The Hood is way too cool to play with kitty litter." Arthur winked as he sat with his tray spinning on a fingertip like a Lunchroom Globetrotter. "I bet he's half-alien of some kind. Or maybe wings hidden under that hood." He plucked an apple off the spinning tray before sliding it to rest on the table.

He took a big bite and murmured to Tosh, "If you go sepia filter, it all looks the same."
You got base building problems? I feel bad for you, son. I got ninety-nine problems, but a clip ain't one.

Seth chuckled at Arthur, "I'm telling you man, it may look harmless, but it kicks ass in a brawl. On top of that, afterwards you'll find sand in places it shouldn't be for weeks after." Seth grinned.

Will held up his hand as red electricity danced over his fingers. He gave a crooked smile. "Oh. I have my own talents." He closed his hand into a fist and the electricity dissipated. He picked up his apple again and smirked before taking another bite.

Etienne watched the new kid walk over to what he had dubbed the popular kids table. Smiling to himself, he nodded, thinking that Will would fit in fine. He bowed his head and started saying grace, but was interrupted by the stare of two beady eyes staring at him from his book bag.

"You know better. We say grace, den we eat, mon ami."
"Just uh. Don't let them scare you. We're all freaked out, but a lot of us would still sick up for you. You're still our classmate."

Laura took a deep breath as she approached the table. She was always so nervous when it came to meeting new people: of course, she'd been doing a lot of that since she'd come to Paragon.

She smiled brightly as she sat down, maneuvering her tray smoothly to the table so as not to hit the person next to her. "'lo," she said. "Rumor has it you're the new guy. Name's Laura."

Will nodded at Laura. "Nice to meet you, Laura. I'm Will."

He looked at the table in general. "Any advice for a newbie?"
