Ghost Hunt((Open))

Post by Chris Sloan » Mon Mar 12, 2012 1:19 pm

The flyers had been posted around the school for days, permission had been granted from Ms Posie, even though she thought it would be a waste of time. Tonight was the night, the magic club was hosting it's first event for the school. It was just after curfew, and Chris was waiting in the school library, the advertised meeting spot for the event.

Looking around the gathered individuals, he smiled a bit. "Okay everyone, thank you for joining today. As you all saw in the posters, this is going to be a search for the resident ghost, Lucas. This is not a hunt, we do not want to hurt him, we just want to talk. You can use whatever means are at your disposal as long as you do not hurt Lucas or any other member of the school."

He took a deep breath, "Whenever you find Lucas, send a message over the comm channel, and we'll try to converge on that location. Whoever finds him first gets bragging rights for being the best ghost finder in the school."

He took another look around the crowd, "Are there any questions?"

"Taylor! Lock and load! It's ghost annihilation time!" Taylor groaned, barely opening her eyes as she picked up the cell phone.

"Because busting is for amateurs." She mumbled. "Sydney? What time is it?"

"I thought I just mentioned that it was ghost annihilation time. C'mon Taylor, you're not always this slow witted. Suit up."

"Slow witt... suit up? Syd, it's the middle of the night."

"Early bird catches the ghost. And bring those fliers we made. We might have a customer! I'll meet you downstairs in five minutes."

With a drone running surveillance in the courtyard a few hours later, Syd and Taylor captured something odd on film. What it is is still being debated and analyzed.

Chris started his search in the dorms, looking through the halls for anything unusual when he noticed the message on the whiteboard. He could safely assume it was from Lucas, and erased it shaking his head, grabbing a marker and writing in it's place.

"Lucas, I assume that was from you. I don't want to hurt you, just to talk. After that, I'll help you or leave you alone or whatever you want. All I want is to talk."

Chris put the marker down after writing the message, and walked off to search the rest of the dorm before returning, almost certain another new message would be up.

((Inside Chris' room, his computer chair now perches on the corner of his desk. On top of the chair is the same white board.))

Michelle noticed the large crowd in the library as she cut through the building. This was... oh. The ghost hunt. Yeah, pass.

On her way back out, Michelle paused. If she pretended she was hunting for the ghost, she could get around that stupid curfew. The greenhouses would totally be a place to hunt for a dead dude. She just needed to find herself a hunting partner first.

Chris saw the chair and whiteboard on his way back, thinking to himself. 'He must really like the poltergeist movie.' He decided to try something else, and just stood in the hallway outside his room. Speaking to the emptiness, he started the conversation. "Lucas, I assume you're still watching in case I leave you another message. Don't worry, I won't force anything on you, help or otherwise. Like I said, I just want to talk. I heard about what happened to you."

Sam cam out of her room, the ghost hunt was tonight right? Perfect time to stay up late.

She made her way to the library. Looking around, it would be easy to slip out of the group and hang out late at night. This wasn't such a half bad idea.

Chris watched the message appear, and cleaned it off so Lucas could write a new one when he was done talking. "Then please, if I was misinformed, tell me. I want to understand you."
