PLAYWRIGHT’S DAUGHTER CONFIRMED AS LATEST MISSING CHILD

PARAGON CITY, Rhode Island, February 17th – In a brief statement this morning, PPD officials confirmed that a Missing Person report has been filed for Sondra Blake, daughter of British playwright Timothy Blake and theatre producer Florence Mills. The 14-year-old girl is the fifth child to go missing in the Atlas Park neighborhood since the beginning of the calendar year. An Amber Alert is expected to be announced by day’s end.

Timothy Blake is best known as the author of "Horses in a Row", the long-running play credited with revitalizing the Promenade theatre scene after the devastation of the first Rikti War. His latest project is a collaboration with West End wunderkind Alan Bryce Fisher on the musical “Spartacus”, set to open on the Promenade in the spring of 2012.

Florence Mills is a former singer and actress best known for performances in the West End productions of Cats and Frost Empire. She also reached #4 on the UK dance charts in 1979 with “Boogie Starlight”. She currently works as a theatre producer in Paragon City.

NEW LEAD IN VISTA HEIGHTS ROBBERY CASE

PARAGON CITY, Rhode Island, April 14th – An eyewitness has come forward after the latest in a series of robberies that have plagued the affluent Vista Heights neighborhood of eastern Paragon City. Carlos Hernandez, a 42-year-old landscaper, claims to have seen two figures exiting the scene of Monday’s break-in upon arriving for an early job at a neighboring building.

According to Hernandez, both figures were short, slight, and wrapped in loose dark clothing that made it impossible to distinguish facial features, skin color, age, or even gender. According to his report, both figures emerged from a third story window and in his words “floated” to the ground before running off at high speed. They were not seen to be carrying anything but may have had small items concealed within their loose clothing.

PPD officials have not officially verified Hernandez’s claims, but speaking off the record, one investigating officer has told The Times his report appears to confirm several of their theories regarding the nature of the robberies.

Monday’s break-in was the seventh such incident in Vista Heights in the past month. Police have declined to report what or even if anything has been stolen from the targeted homes but insurance claims filed by four of the affected residents all contain high-value works of art.

SECURITY GUARD PARALYZED IN MUSEUM HEIST

PARAGON CITY, Rhode Island, June 17th – One security guard was left paralyzed and another suffered a severe concussion during a break-in at the Briggs Cove Maritime Museum in southeast Paragon. Emil Lubinsky, a 37-year-old Bristol resident, suffered the crippling injury after being pushed through a second-storey window and falling to the parking lot below. He is currently being treated at the M. Harvey Medical Center but staff there have indicated his chances for a full recovery are extremely slim.

Another guard, 51-year-old Paragon native Mark Stanley, also remains in medical care after suffering a severe concussion during the robbery. Both injured guards are long-time employees of the museum described as “dependable family-men” by co-workers and friends.

The PPD has yet to release an official statement but a museum spokesman has confirmed to the Times that all security footage has been turned over to police investigators. One staff member, speaking on condition of anonymity, told our reporter the footage showed multiple suspects with at least one displaying metahuman abilities which contributed to Lubinsky’s injury.

There is no word on what, if anything, was stolen during the incident. The museum remains closed while forensic investigators continue to examine the scene.
