Unpacking

Morgan flopped down on her bed and reached for her iPod, preparing to just veg out until dinner. She'd been feeling kind of... blech lately, probably from the lack of regular exercise. Sure, heroing required SOME physical activity, she was mostly just following Hohiro and the gang around, making sure they could hold on to their physical manifestations.

She made a mental note to see if there were any rinks in the area: she'd brought her skates with her, though they were still sitting in her travelling bag, unpacked, along with most of the stuff she'd brought with her. She made another mental note to unpack at some point.

She lay her head back on the pillow and closed her eyes as the opening bars to Wild Party started up.

“Are you going to laze about all day like that?”

Morgan sighed and turned down the volume on the iPod as Cassie Letum drifted through the wall opposite Morgan's bed. Her form wasn't distinct: she looked more like a vaguely human-shaped fog

“Don't sigh at me like that. One would think you have no respect for your poor, departed mother.”

Morgan rolled her eyes. “Mum, I just got out of 6 or so hours of classes. There's a bit of time before dinner, and I want to just relax.”

“You haven't even unpacked yet.”

Morgan eyed her pack sitting on the floor: clothes were falling out onto a heap; a bare skate blade was sticking out, it's guard having fallen off onto the floor beside it.

“If I unpack now, will you let me watch the Habs-Coyotes' game in peace tonight?”

It was Carrie's turn to sigh. “I doubt I could convince your father to let you miss it.”

Morgan grinned. “Deal.”

Morgan turned up the volume again as the next song on her iPod started. She hummed along as she started to unpack her clothes into drawers and closet.
